Paula Tollett
Paula Tollett is a Photographic Artist based in Brighton, UK.
Paulas practice is informed by the study of the landscape and its association with time and memory. Her work begins autobiographically, exploring family narratives, identity and intimacy. Through the use of photography, Paula aims to understand the relationship between place attachment and the landscape.
Paula's most recent series ‘Dwelling’ is a work in progress project exploring themes of time and memory. Drawing on personal emotions, the work is realised through 5x4 direct positive paper, shot and processed in the home she shares a connection with. The process of working with paper negatives creates a dreamlike, ethereal visualisation of her memories.
